Briggs and Forrester success at RoSPA Awards 2017

Briggs and Forrester achieves health & safety awards from RoSPA

We are very pleased to announce the results for this year’s RoSPA Awards. The Briggs and Forrester Group has been awarded its sixth successive Gold Medal. Briggs and Forrester Engineering Services has been presented with the President’s Award for the fourth year running.

These excellent results come after a very positive year for the Briggs and Forrester Group’s health and safety record. Even with increases over the last few years in project turnover, number of man hours worked and number of workers, the company has seen a year on year reduction in accidents and lost time injuries. The Briggs & Forrester Group, and its sub-contracted workforce, completed in excess of 7.4 million man hours and achieved an Accident Frequency Rate & Accident Incident Rate of zero for RIDDOR reportable accidents.

2017 sees RoSPA celebrate its centenary year. The RoSPA awards are based on occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria. Gold medals, President’s Awards and orders of distinction are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.

Group Chief Executive Paul Burton said, “To receive these accolades is excellent recognition of our ongoing focus on the health and safety of our employees and those we work with.  It’s particularly appropriate following on from our successful safety record in 2016, and a fitting celebration during our 70th year. I would like to thank our teams for their vigilance, professionalism and pride in keeping everyone safe.”

The awards will be presented in July.
