Energy Saving Tip - Natural Ventilation

The UK is currently experiencing a heat wave, with temperatures reaching a scorching 32.6 degrees celsius! This weather is set to continue for a couple more weeks, which means that air conditioning units will be working overtime to keep buildings cool.

This week’s energy saving tip is to take advantage of natural ventilation to save on your energy costs. Natural ventilation and cooling relies of the natural flow of air between openings on opposite sides of a room or building. The warm air in the office is replaced by cooler air that is being drawn in through windows or vents.Windows and doors can be used to provide good levels of natural ventilation, allowing air conditioning systems to be switched off or turned down to save energy and money.

The lower temperatures in the evening can also be used to cool the building ready for the following day.
