Congratulations to Kelly Moss, Apprentice Chartered Surveyor, who was awarded the Ann Noblett Professional Engineer of the Year Award at the National BESA National Conference 2018 on the 1st of November.

Kelly began with Briggs & Forrester Special Projects 5 years ago as a purchasing administrator. After working in the position for two years, Kelly was offered a technical apprenticeship.

“As part of my training I was offered a 3 day placement at BSS and this is where my interests peaked and I knew that I wanted to pursue a career within the construction industry.”

The Ann Noblett Memorial Scholarship was established to honour the late Ann Noblett who managed the memorial trusts entrusted to the Association for over 25 years and project-managed the industry’s National Training Awards.

The BESA Awards of Excellence celebrates the industry's best future engineers within the building services sector. This award recognises Kelly as an outstanding employee who has demonstrated both exceptional standards and commitment to her work, whilst working towards the recognition of a chartered professional body.

Kelly is currently in her second year of her BSC (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree. It’s a distance learning course which she is due to complete in 2022, “I am excited to become a chartered surveyor and to continue to progress and develop my learning in the future.”

Joel Copus, Commercial Director said “We are very proud of Kelly for receiving this award. I feel it was well earned as Kelly is always hard working, professional and committed to her work and studies – well done Kelly.”
