Kevin Mason (pictured left) and Matthew Dickerson (right), recently took part in the London Marathon to raise money for their chosen charities, Macmillan Cancer Support and Autism Concern.
It was the hottest marathon on record, with temperatures reaching 24.1 degrees. A record 386,050 people applied for this year's race - almost a third more than 2017 and the highest number for any marathon in the world.
Matthew raised over £3,000 for local charity, Autism Concern: "The weather certainly wasn’t made for running in but im proud to have completed the hottest London Marathon ever, many thanks for all of the donations and support."
Kevin said: “A huge thanks to all of you who sponsored me – your donations have raised over £1500 for Macmillan Cancer Support. That’s my first marathon done, it was hot, the slowest I’ve run in 6 months, but in the conditions the finish line was more important than the time.”
