M&E for Nottingham BioCity project completed by Briggs & Forrester

Our Engineering Services business is proud to have been involved in the creation of new science and research facilities in the heart of Nottingham.

BioCity is a state of the art facility which will be home to various large and small scale bioscience and research companies. The project includes biology and chemistry laboratories, a café, conference rooms and offices.

Working with main contractor Willmott Dixon, Briggs & Forrester provided full building services installation including ventilation, fume extract, air-conditioning, lab gases, lighting, small power, security and access control. Briggs and Forrester Site Manager Robert Morgan said, “It’s been a very rewarding and gratifying project and we would all agree very enjoyable. Well done to all the team.”

The Discovery building is illuminated by a sculpture using live activity from the sun via NASA satellites, and acts as an energy-efficient sunscreen for the five-storey building.
