Johanna Dorey, Tom Wood and Graham Chambers from Briggs & Forrester were recognised for their contribution to plumbing at the recent Worshipful Company of Plumbers Awards 2018.
The awards are held annually at Carpenter’s Hall in London, home of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers who are one of the most ancient of the Livery Companies of the City of London, having served the City and the craft of plumbing continuously for over 650 years.
Johanna entered the Outstanding Apprentice category and received highly commended from the judges, and Tom was highly commended in the Excellence in Plumbing category.
Graham Chambers received the main award of the evening for Long Standing Service and Outstanding Contribution to Plumbing. Graham said: “I feel a great sense of pride in receiving this award and being recognised by the Worshipful Company of Plumbers. I am proud to say I have mentored and developed the skills of many apprentices over the years, ensuring my knowledge and skills remain within the industry. I am fully aware of the reports of skill shortages within the construction industry and I am driven to ensure that the plumbing sector remains strong.”
