Who would have thought that ping pong could be so competitive! Teams from our Engineering Services and MEP divisions in the South East Region had a great evening last week in a mixed group competition. It was a perfect way to bring players from across the company together for a ferociously fun series of games. The victors were Lorraine Kirkham, Paul Rupply and Martin Sheaf – evidently last minute substitutions were necessary!

Our Birmingham office was a house divided recently for the inaugural Upstairs v Downstairs football match. It was a tense game as the lead passed backwards and forwards, but after dives, missed shots aimed more at the car park than the goal and flying tackles, victory was sweet for the Upstairs team. £76 was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Well done teams!

Torrential rain didn’t put visitors off at a recent careers fair at Northampton College; over 1,000 students attended and many of them visisted the Briggs & Forrester stand.
Events like this are a perfect way for our team to chat with students about the exciting opportunities and career potential with Briggs & Forrester. They met some fantastic people who are already engaged and interested in engineering, mechanical and electrical disciplines and hope to stay in contact with them, looking for our team of the future!
Congratulations to plumber Jamie Hoare, who has been presented with a monthly health & safety award from Brookfield Multiplex while working on the 98 Fetter Lane project in London. Rich Jeffs from Brookfield Multiplex said, “This is a testament to Jamie who has been great for us on site from the very start, always having a positive attitude, good work ethic and polite manner that has been noticed by all of the project team.” Great job Jamie!
Nearly 300 guests from over 120 of Briggs and Forrester’s supply chain companies enjoyed the opportunity to network and socialise at our 10th annual Supply Chain Event, held recently at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.
