Despite the awful weather over the August Bank Holiday weekend Northampton hosted the 2015 Festival of Water supported by Briggs & Forrester.
The event celebrated the 200 year anniversary of the opening of the Northampton Canal Arm with attractions and entertainment at Beckets Park in the town.
It was great to see so many people there giving their support despite the awful weather.

We are delighted to announce that Dawood Seedat, a Technical Trainee for Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services has been awarded the prestigious East Midland Chartered Institute Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) prize.

The CIBSE East Midlands Award is given for outstanding performance over the ONC and HNC courses at college. 

Nominees are evaluated in different areas such as general attitude, determination and committment to the industry and studies and professional and personal development.

24th August 2015

Low Energy Consultancy, part of the Briggs & Forrester Group are working with retail giant Aldi on their new UK Headquarters in Derbyshire.

The building, based in Atherstone, is seeing a new extension which the Low Energy Consultancy team are working on.

LEC are carrying out the initial building regulation compliance checks. This will assist with the design strategy and local planning requirements. 

20th August 2015

We are very proud that our very own Chris Church, Pre Construction Director at Briggs & Forrester is taking part in the world famous Rolex Fastnet Race which is currently underway.

Chris is in the boat Bella of London and they are currently placed 255th having travelled 571.3 miles.

Chris and the team are expected to cross the finish line at just after 4am on 21 August 2015. 

14th August 2015

In 2014 a record-breaking 1300 riders took part in Cycle 4 Cynthia, raising almost £64,000, taking the total to over £350,000 in the eleven years of the event. 

In 2015 Briggs & Forrester will be taking part in this important event. We hope a record number will be taking part this year when it returns to Althorp on Sunday 13 September 2015.

It is only a few weeks away and we look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of the team from Briggs & Forrester.

Briggs & Forrester has welcomed the new intake of apprentices who will be visiting each of departments of the business on a rotational basis to gain a first-hand knowledge of the functions and operations.

They started work with us in August and after two years into their training they will choose their desired department to progress their careers in.

Great to have you on board guys!

Following on from the Briggs & Forrester Special Projects Family Fun Day we think we may be heading for World Record!

We got eight grown men into one big sack. Has it been done before?

We dont know but eight Briggs & Forrester men is a high bar to beat! 

Let us know if you know of any group that has beaten this fine acheivement.

A big thank you to everyone that joined us for our recent Briggs & Forrester Special Projects Fun Day at Northampton Casuals RFC.

Despite the constant rain we welcomed over 110 people along and being typical Brits we made the most of the day despite the weather. 

The football was won by Bootstrap FC who retained the trophy from last year and the extra days holiday and superbreak prize was won by Ian Glover.

The tombola raised over £200 and with other fund raising events this year we have been able to send a cheque for £450 to Dementia UK.

Abell & Cleland is a prestigious development at the heart of Westminster, designed to complement its remarkable location in an area world renowned for government and grand private dwellings.

Briggs & Forrester are delighted to announce that our work on the University of Nottingham Science and Engineering Library is almost completed.

The redevelopment involved the complete refurbishment and overhaul of the existing library this will include a complete new facade. B&F is to undertake the mechanical, electrical and public health installations of the building.

The project has an M&E value of £3.2M which is being delivered for Galliford Try.
