Low Energy Consultancy (LEC) Ltd was formed in January 2011. With 25 years collective knowledge of the building services industry, the team have experience of energy led projects on a wide variety of domestic and commercial construction projects in the public and private sector. LEC work closely within appointed design teams to advise on low energy, high performance buildings and systems. Team members are registered Low Carbon Consultants and Chartered Engineers with CIBSE.
The team applies a comprehensive approach to help meet regulatory approval based upon client aspiration and financial viabilities and go beyond regulations to reduce carbon emissions and running costs.
LEC provides full feasibility studies for renewable technology integration with any specific building type or situation. This is required by most planning authorities to obtain planning permission and it is also a requirement for most project funding mechanisms. The team has prepared energy strategies and statements to obtain planning permission from the GLA and other authorities.
LEC energy consultants also conduct Part L compliant assessments, EPCs and thermal calculations for new build and refurbishment projects.
LEC with Briggs and Forrester Ltd offers a complete service from feasibility study to design, installation, commissioning and continued maintenance. The turnover of the group is in excess of £170 million.
LEC have use of six offices across the UK, with a head office in Northampton. LEC provides services to a wide range of clients across a range of sectors including residential, retail, public sector, healthcare, commercial and local authority.
