To co-ordinate and ensure, correct and best practice electrical safety & quality control processes are carried out within the company and to act as the Senior Authorising Engineer for the company’s Electrical Safety Procedure. Represent the company as the NICEIC Principal Duty Holder (& Qualified Supervisor) and to act as the focal point and technical authority for all electrical quality & compliance issues across all projects. Managing NICEIC Qualifying Supervisors, managing on site testing teams and programming their work loads, maintain electrical compliance within the company, trouble shooting with site teams, giving technical advice to site teams and clients, checking design of electrical install and amending as necessary. To work with contracts managers and project managers to continually improve quality, to work with electrical engineers and supervisors on site, and implement and monitor the electrical safe systems of works, to check the quality of electrical install and offer remedial reports to site teams, implement new methods and products to site teams with a view to offering a commercial edge.Testing the electrical install and auditing other testers within the team by spot checks and sample works. Check for early technical issues ensure electrical best practice independently of the site teams within B&F. Producing the electrical test certificates to NICEIC standards. Part P registering all completed installations. Production of Technical Requirements Memos to all staff. Compile monthly reports on electrical issues on each job to Production Director. Authorise person who controls live switching and isolation on projects as required.
