We wish to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to enable further growth of our highly successful team, which would suit either an Estimator or Senior Estimator. The candidate will be responsible for the production of detailed tender bids, cost plans, attending mid and post tender meetings and post tender control. You will be expected to interface with both our existing and prospective new clients. This position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met.

Must have gas safe certificates & valid CSCS for work available in the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Milton Keynes.
The Contracts Manager has responsibility of ensuring that their installation teams are complying with the company’s best interests and that regionally their schemes are being planned and executed to the agreed scope of works, compliant and to the highest standard whilst ensuring Briggs & Forrester’s internal procedures as laid out in the QMS system are being adhered to. The Role has responsibility for both production and commercial aspects of the Division. To promote the business and increase the turnover whilst maintaining profitability.
To co-ordinate and ensure, correct and best practice electrical safety & quality control processes are carried out within the company and to act as the Senior Authorising Engineer for the company’s Electrical Safety Procedure. Represent the company as the NICEIC Principal Duty Holder (& Qualified Supervisor) and to act as the focal point and technical authority for all electrical quality & compliance issues across all projects.
A mechanical estimator is required to send out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors. Take-off the drawings and input into ESTIMATION (Training given). Carry out an analysis of received quotations to ensure the equipment / specialist is compliant with the tender information. Complete a tender analysis including preliminary costs. Take the master tender letter and summary and customise them to suit the requirements of the submission and more importantly incorporate any specific clarifications that are poignant.
