Acting as Principal Contractor, Briggs & Forrester Special Projects have been awarded the £4.1m works to convert an existing office accommodation into clinical ward space for West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
The project, Shrodells Building, will comprise of the demolition and strip out of the existing building with a complete architectural fit out, mechanical and electrical services installation including new air handling plant and new windows to HTM specifications.
Briggs & Forrester will complete the design and build of a new phased ventilation scheme to level 1, the strip out and install of heat recovery units, radiators and AC split systems with HTM compliant replacements, the strip out of mains hot and cold water and install of new domestic hot water pipework and the installation of medical gases. Associated electrical and minor builders works will also be completed.
