Briggs & Forrester complete first North West England Radisson RED hotel in Liverpool

Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services have successfully completed the £5.4m MEP building services works to the new Radisson RED hotel in Liverpool, the first hotel of its brand in the North of England.

The project, completed for Deansgate Contractors Ltd, saw the refurbishment of the ten storey Grade II listed North Western Halls building built in 1871 as one of a number of grand railway hotels to form a modern hotel under the Radisson RED brand.

The hotel features a 201 bedrooms with a reception, restaurant and bar area, kitchen, gymnasium, meeting rooms and social breakout areas. The refurbishment also saw the restoration of a nineteenth century stained glass window and grand sandstone staircase.

Briggs & Forrester were responsible for the complete design and installation of mechanical and electrical services including data, fire and security systems, IT, lightening protection, switchgear, internal and external lighting, CCTV, ventilation, domestic water, BMS, thermal insulation, air conditioning systems, sprinklers and sanitaryware.
