Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services secure extension on Etex facility in Bristol
Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services are delighted to have secured the mechanical, electrical and public health services installation with McLaughlin & Harvey to deliver a brand new extension to the Etex plasterboard manufacturing plant in Bristol.
The brand new industrial building will double the existing Bristol facility for Etex’s Siniat brand, significantly increasing production capacity to enable the client to meet future market demand and increase their service level to customers in the UK and across Europe.
The new facility will adhere to stringent environmental and health & safety standards and will have a focus on sustainability, utilising rainwater harvesting system, solar PV and electric car charging points with a view to introducing a fully electric forklift fleet. The extra space will also support Etex in meeting one of its core circular economy objectives of achieving 30% post-consumer gypsum in its plasterboard by 2025.
The new building will create logistic areas to load trucks with finished products and unload raw material or purchased finished projects with the warehouse storing the finished products and production equipment. In addition it will create technical rooms, welfare rooms and office accommodation.
