The mechanical, electrical and public health building services package has been secured on Oakley School in Warwickshire by Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services to be delivered alongside Willmott Dixon.
The £7.8m project, part of the Scape framework for client Warwickshire County Council, will see services provided to a new school ranging from nursery to secondary with space allocation for a future sixth form college block. The school will provide space for 34 nursery students, 420 primary students ad 900 secondary students with SEND provision.
The development will also provide a stand alone sports hall, several natural turf pitches and an all weather pitch for both educational and community use.
The project will see Willmott Dixon and the wider project team invest heavily in the local community, with £1.5m committed through social value activities such as delivering careers talks, work experience, traineeships for those not in employment, education or training and creating local job opportunities.
Construction of the new school facilities will be completed in summer 2024, with Oakley School pupils taking occupation at the start of term in September 2024.
