Briggs & Forrester Living Awarded Best Tall Building MEP Services Project

Briggs & Forrester Living are pleased to announce their win for the Best Tall Building MEP Services Project at the Tall Building Awards yesterday evening.

The project that secured this win was Newfoundland, an iconic diamond façade residential tower in the heart of Canary Wharf.

  • 63 Stories High
  • 636 Apartments
  • Tallest built-to-rent residential high rise in the UK

Reiss Duthie, Commercial Manager, and Steve Perry, Construction Manager, attended the event and are pictured with the award alongside Freya Richards from Vertus and Billie Lee from Horden Cherry Lee Architects, the respective project client and architect.

Briggs & Forrester Living, appointed by Canary Wharf Contractors, undertook the mechanical, electrical and public health services to the iconic private rental residential high-rise building. Through communication with all teams involved with the project we managed to comply with an aggressive build programme and sequence to achieve completion of our services.

One of our main areas of innovative change was the use of stainless-steel pipework over more traditional carbon black steel which created many benefits to the project build. Our use of extensive off-site factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing and a rigorous Quality Assurance process meant that all parties involved with the build were provided with the confidence that our systems would operate as designed and intended first time.

We would like to send a huge thank you to …

  • Canary Wharf Contractors
  • All Briggs personnel involved with Newfoundland from Pre-Construction through to project handover
  • Our sub-contractors and suppliers on this project
  • All other associated companies involved in the construction of Newfoundland

Congratulations to all the other winners on the night and all the shortlisted entries.
