The Role

Each year we take on multiple Craft Apprentices across all regions of Briggs & Forrester Living to work within the specialist building services industry with a focus on mechanical disciplines. Our positions suit self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals who possess:

  • A minimum of GCSEs in English & Maths  Grade 9 (A*) to 4/5 (C)
  • A current CSCS card ( we can assist with this application process should the applicant not currently have one)

We require our candidates to have a keen and clear interest in mechanical installation. They will need to be self- motivated, ambitious and resourceful with good communication skills. All employees are client facing daily, so maturity and professionalism is always required. A reasonable level of fitness is required due to the manual elements of the apprenticeship as well as working on live residential building sites ranging from 2 storeys to 50+storeys. We expect our apprentice to travel, as our projects can be varied distances from the offices they are employed from, these office locations can be found on our ‘Contact’ page.

Our Craft Apprenticeship programme is a 4 year process where we offer :

The successful candidates will work for Briggs & Forrester Living on several different projects ranging from high spec apartments and hotels to student accommodation. Their main responsibility will be to work alongside and support the management and qualified tradesperson on site. They will be given work faces and targets to completed on a daily/ weekly basis. Elements of work include but aren’t limited to commercial and domestic installations, from 1st fix installations to commissioning.
