The Role

Briggs & Forrester Living solely focus on mechanical, electrical and public health services installation within high end residential, student accommodation and hotel projects.

We wish to appoint a Mechanical Estimator within our highly successful Pre-Contract team at Briggs & Forrester Living.

This candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans
  • Attending mid and post tender meetings
  • Post tender control
  • Interfacing with both our existing and prospective new clients
  • Communication and interfacing with sub-contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads

The position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met.

Whilst mechanically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of electrical engineering services. Candidates will need to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and will have experience in a wide range of sectors, specifically including residential, hotel and student accommodation projects.

This is a permanent, office-based position with strong career prospects.

  • Computer literate with experience of “Trimble Estimation” software
  • Issuing/updating tender documents via an electronic control system
  • Willing and able to work as part of a team with personal skills to promote good relationships and a friendly working environment
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained in accordance with company QA policies
  • Working in an integrated M&E team
