Briggs and Forrester Living Housing's Move to QR Codes

Briggs and Forrester Living's Housing division have been consciously thinking more about their environmental impact and ways to improve their current processes.

One implemented change is that they are now utilising QR codes within their Housing Plot Folders as a substitute for printing each manufacturers specifications and data sheets. The folders detail specifications and data sheets for Briggs and Forrester’s installations along with appropriate certification, emergency guidance and information on additional services we offer homeowners. These are specific to each housing plot/type per developer and are a reference for future homeowners.

It came to light through compiling these plot folders that we were using a lot of paper, ink and time in order to print off the specifications and data sheets for items such as boilers, shower trays, cylinders etc. Creating a scannable QR code for each specification / data sheet has increased our productivity from producing 8 folders to 50 per day (approx.), reduced costs and paper usage and is an easy process for homeowners to use.
