Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services awarded MEP contract on Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services have been appointed by Kier Construction to deliver the MEP services contract on the Clinical Admissions Unit at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

The Clinical Admissions Unit will provide a 30 bed facility to provide safe, high quality, short-term accommodation for patients who have been seen in the hospital’s Medical Assessment Unit and are waiting to be admitted to a ward. Incorporating two 10 bed bays and two 5 bed bays, a kitchen, staff rest room, dirty and clean utility, interview room and disposal stores.  

The scope of works includes the MEP installation of ventilation, electric heating, hot and cold water, oxygen & vacuum, BMS, public health, small power and lighting, fire alarm, data, access control and nurse call.

The MEP fit out works began on site in January 2022 and the project is due for completion February 2022.”
