Briggs and Forrester Special Projects have achieved practical completion on the much anticipated state-of-the-art Whitehouse Health Centre in Milton Keynes.
Working in collaboration with main contractor Willmott Dixon, Special Projects delivered the mechanical, electrical and public health services contract on the new health centre. Whitehouse Health Centre is 30,400 square foot development consisting of 22 primary care rooms, 2 treatment rooms and minor surgery suite, pharmacy and a café for visitors and patients.
The multi million pound health centre provides capacity for up to 22,500 residents of Whitehouse, Fairfields and adjacent areas who might otherwise struggle to get appointments at existing local doctor’s surgeries. The introduction of a new Health Centre is a great addition to the growing town.
Mechanical works carried out included two air handling units providing ventilation to the various rooms and spaces, LTHW heating system comprising of two boilers, radiators and radiant panels. Domestic hot and cold water was provided by a storage tank, booster pump and plate heat exchanger. Electrical services included power, lighting, fire alarm, data, security, CCTV and solar PV panels.
All services were completed on time, defect free and within budget. Briggs & Forrester Special Projects were delighted to receive excellent customer feedback from both Willmott Dixon and Milton Keynes Council.
The health centre opened its doors in last month.
