Briggs and Forrester are delighted to be working on a number of projects which are taking part in the annual ‘Open Doors’ project this March. Open Doors aims to inspire individuals who are interested in the construction industry to start thinking about taking the next step in their careers.
Today, residential build 250 City Road opened its doors. Briggs & Forrester Living began works on the build in 2017 for Berkeley Homes. Located in Islington, the mixed use development will provide 289 private apartments and 149 shared/rental units across two 42 and 36 storey towers and 6 smaller buildings.
The Living division were awarded the mechanical and public health installation on Blocks 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 and 9 and Tower 1. Services carried out included rainwater systems, ventilation systems and BMS control systems.
In 2018, the Open Doors project saw over 5,200 bookings across more than 275 construction sites. Adding to this, over the last four years the scheme has attracted over 16,000 visitors. Many people have preconceived ideas about the construction industry, but the Open Doors project aims to set the record straight and show that construction is for everyone.
Open Doors runs from 18th to the 23rd of March 2019.
