Continuing the collaborative relationship with BAM Construction, Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services are currently delivering the works to a new high school located in Brecon, Wales.
The new Brecon high school which offers education for 750 students aged 11 to 18 is situated between a leisure centre and athletics track. With a picturesque backdrop of the Black Mountains, the project will see the previous 1950’s secondary school replaced with a new 7,500 sqm building set to meet the ever-growing educational demands of the 21st century.
Engineering Services commenced works in September 2018 and are responsible for carrying out the installation of mechanical, electrical and public health services. Works will consist of a 3-storey building (ground, first and second floors) housing classrooms, dining, kitchen, sports hall/fitness suite, main hall, library and staff spaces. Services include Low Voltage Distribution, Access Control and Natural Gas Distribution.Works are planned for completion November 2019.
