Josh Allen shortlisted for 'Student of the Year' CSA Award | Briggs & Forrester

Josh Allen shortlisted for 'Student of the Year' CSA Award

We are pleased to announce that Josh Allen, Assistant Commissioning Manager for Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services, has been shortlisted for ‘Student of the Year’ award at this year’s CSA Awards.

Josh began with Briggs & Forrester as a pipefitting apprentice, but soon realised that it wasn’t the career for him. “It was suggested that commissioning might be a discipline that would interest me and make good use of the skills I already had as it encompassed hands on work, theoretical thinking and IT. I’m very thankful to all the people I’ve worked with for not giving up on me and for Andy Pitman, Commissioning Manager, for giving me the opportunity.”

Josh was nominated by his CSA appointed tutor who assisted him during his studies. Josh said: “Having received good marks and feedback on my modules, and also achieving 94% (equal to a distinction) on my CSA Grade 2 end of year exam, which was also the highest mark for 2018, my tutor nominated me for this award.”

Having worked hard to meet the tough deadlines, it means a lot to Josh to have been shortlisted for this award. The winners of each category will be announced and presented with an award during the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 27th June, with each finalist also being invited up on to the stage to be presented with a framed certificate.

Congratulations to Joshua for this outstanding achievement.
