Briggs & Forrester Special Projects Ltd, recently completed boiler replacement works at Dame Alice Owen’s School in Hertfordshire.
Dame Alice Owen herself founded the school in 1613 in Islington; which has since moved to their present site, set on an extensive 34 acre grounds in Potters Bar.
Working in collaboration with Michael Jones & Associates LLP the installation included the decommissioning and stripping out of the existing boilers that service the Edward Guinness Hall.
Special Projects were principal contractors on the project, delivering the works which included modifying the existing LPHW Heating flow and return connection to distribution circuits, modifying the pipework, installing new modular boilers, pressurisation set, plate heat exchange, new controls and associated builder’s works.
These works are part of an overall restoration to the school which will be updated from their 1970’s build.
