Briggs and Forrester Special Projects have been awarded the MEP services contract on the much anticipated Whitehouse Health Centre in Milton Keynes.
Working in collaboration with main contractor Willmott Dixon, Special Projects will carry out the mechanical, electrical and public health services. The health centre consists of a number of primary care rooms, treatment rooms and minor surgery suite. The development will also include a pharmacy and a café for visitors and patients.
The multi million pound health centre will provide capacity for up to 22,500 residents of Whitehouse, Fairfields and adjacent areas who might otherwise struggle to get appointments at existing local doctor’s surgeries. The introduction of a new Health Centre will be a great addition to the growing town.
Mechanical works carried out will include gas fired boilers, space heating and mechanical ventilation. Electrical work carried out will include power installation, fire and lightning protection and security and control systems.
The health centre is set to open its doors in spring 2020.
