Briggs & Forrester Building Services Maintenance Service Technician Steve Ellis alongside his team, recently completed a cycle ride to significant funds for 'Friends of Danetre Hospital' who raise money for equipment not provided by the NHS.

Naming themselves 'Duston Old Cranks' the team set off from Daventry to Paris, cycling approximately 300 miles over 3 days arriving on the Champs Elysee on Saturday afternoon. As well as enduring the length of the cycle, the 'old cranks' also had to battle through the 40c blazing heat!

Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services have been appointed by VINCI Construction UK to deliver the mechanical, electrical and public health services contract at the HCA Hospital in Birmingham.

This joint venture project between HCA Healthcare UK (HCA UK) and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) will provide 138 new beds for patients, a new radiotherapy unit and new state-of-the-art operating theatres.

Awarded by Sisk, Briggs and Forrester’s Living team will commence the building services works contract on the latest phase of Quintain’s Wembley Park development. This will include the shell & core and fit out of mechanical, electrical and public health works within E05.

Briggs & Forrester Living recently secured the MEP services contract on Park Hill Phase 3, a student accommodation redevelopment located in Sheffield. The development, which was given Grade II listed status in the 1990’s, will be refurbished to create 356 bed student accommodation offering a range of studios, 2 bedroom apartments and 4 and 8 bed clusters.

Described as an exclusive community, Darwin Green is a new build housing development located within close proximity of Cambridge city centre and the University of Cambridge.

Working in collaboration with BDW Cambridgeshire, Briggs & Forrester Living Housing have recently commenced on site and are delivering the mechanical building services package on the first phase of the development.

On Saturday the 13th of July, a team from Briggs & Forrester will be participating in the '24 Hour Three Peaks Challenge' supporting their chosen charity Pancreatic Cancer, in memory of Robert Morgan, a site Manager from Engineering Services.

In order to complete the challenge, the team will attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales- 'all in one go'.

These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales.

We are delighted to announce that Josh Allen, Trainee Commissioning Manager for Engineering Services was awarded 'Student of the Year' at the prestigious awards ceremony which took place last Thursday at The Guoman Tower Hotel, London. 

The Student of the Year award is presented to the individual who best demonstrates the achievements gained through the successful participation in the CSA Training Programme and/or other building services educational programmes.

This Tuesday, members of Briggs & Forrester Group took part in a friendly game of football at Goals Northampton. Staff were playing in teams made up of departments within the Group, challenging each other to see which team would come out on top!

The Commercial team ( which included D’thanial Weston, Tom Freeman, Joe Allen, Michael Stevenson, Adam Dearsley and Adam Burton) were the winners of both games on the day. A rematch will be taking place later this year in September. Well done to Technical Trainee Adam Dearsley who was named 'Man of the Match!'

Business Development Manager Anthony Watson recently completed the Cycle To Ypres charity cycle alongside his friend Craig and retired RAF squadron leader and regional community fundraiser, Annmarie Jones, all in support of The Royal British Legion. The team Cycled around 450 miles last week over six days from Staffordshire to Ypres to raise over £2,800.
