This year in the lead up to World Quality Day 2018 we will be looking at the different ways that we can gain and maintain trust in the business with our employees, customers and supply chain. Daily articles will focus on each business stakeholders and question how quality management helps to maintain organisational trust.

The week will conclude with a WQD Breakfast Event for our staff to gain insights from everyone on how we can develop, maintain and improve trust as a business.

Briggs & Forrester Living are pleased to announce the recent launch of their new build housing division, as part of Briggs & Forrester Living.

Living Housing was established in January 2018 and achieved a £4m order book in the first 6 months of trading. They are currently focused on securing projects within a 50 mile radius of the Northampton Head Office, with plans for expansion in the future.

29th October 2018

Briggs & Forrester Living have commenced on site at Chelsea Creek, London with St George Developments. Living have been awarded the design and build, mechanical, electrical and public health contract on Block F, the latest phase of the Chelsea Creek development.

Chelsea Creek combines contemporary city living with high specification luxury design. Its central London location means it’s within close proximity to shops, bars, restaurants and attractions.

25th October 2018

CES have been selected as the new provider of mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services at a shopping Centre in Southend-On-Sea with a large managing agent, further strengthening CES’s position in the retail sector.

The Shopping Centre is fully tenanted and the contract includes the provision of mechanical and electrical services to all landlords and common areas.

The contract will be managed from our London office and the services will be delivered by the CES team of mobile engineers and specialist service partners.

We are proud to announce that we have been selected as the new provider of M&E Planned Preventative Maintenance Services across a 12-site portfolio throughout the UK with a large logistics company, further strengthening our stance in this sector.

The contract will see CES deliver both planned and reactive maintenance services to heating and cooling plant across a portfolio of 12 large logistics depots throughout the UK, allowing us to continue our strong and steady growth throughout 2018.

Have you insulated your hot water cylinder?

You can make more savings than you might think, especially if the cylinder is in a cooler spot on your house or office.  By wrapping or lagging your cylinder you could save 4-9% on costs to heat your water. Insulation is inexpensive and easily available in DIY stores.

As the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) Phase 2 deadline approaches the Environmental Agency have named and shamed the companies who have been fined due to non-compliance. Fines shown on the report range from £1,500 to £45,000 and could have been easily avoided if sufficient planning and advice was sought from a Lead ESOS Assessor prior to the Phase 1 deadline.

Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services have completed works on the Data Centre project at the University of Birmingham after 8 months on site, working in collaboration with Willmott Dixon.

The facility includes services to specialist water cooling technology to keep the high intensity research computing systems cool. This has involved specialist pipework and filtration to maintain water quality required to bathe the computer chips. Multiple heat exchangers, staged pumping and controls were also provided.

Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services has achieved the prestigious Order of Distinction, following 15 consecutive Gold’s, in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. The Briggs & Forrester Group has also been awarded a RoSPA Gold Medal Award, following 7 consecutive Gold’s.

Briggs & Forrester Group have received certification from Exova BM TRADA who have approved the ISO 14001:2015 Management System operated by the Group.
