The Briggs & Forrester Group regards its health and safety obligations as a core business principle. We believe that by treating health and safety as a fundamental part of our business, the Briggs & Forrester Group is intent on making itself the company of choice for stakeholders by not only meeting our legal, moral and social responsibilities but by exceeding them.

Our culture aims to nurture and develop the experiences and capabilities of individuals, managers, project teams and by doing so encourage all of our employees to continually improve their own safety understanding and performance.

Our efforts for achieving this high level of health and safety have been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), where we have been awarded the Presidents Award every year since 2013 and the Order of Distinction Award since 2018 after achieving consecutive gold awards since 2004.

We have ISO certification and have achieved multiple accreditations across several of the major SSIP schemes details of which can be found at the bottom of the page.

In 2016 we introduced a behavioural-based health and safety campaign across the Group – Our Site, Our Safety, Our Lives. The aim of the campaign is to encourage everyone, on site, in our offices, and across our suppliers, contractors and customers, to work together to ensure a duty of care to themselves and those around them. The message emphasises how we value the wellbeing of everyone we work with.

In 2018 we were assessed by BM Trada and attained the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification demonstrating that Briggs & Forrester Group are committed to ensuring environmental responsibility and improvement.

Most recently we achieved ISO 45001:2018 certification which specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, to enable us to provide a safe and healthy workplace by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.
