The brief
We have successfully built a number of projects at the Babraham Institute with overall value in excess of £30,000,000. They have been delivered on a Design & Build basis working with several main contractors. All have been delivered on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality.
The logistical and engineering challenges have been different for each project. These have ranged from working on new build commercial laboratories to upgrading existing fully operational home office tested laboratories. We have embraced the soft landings process for each project which has benefited the new and existing landlord/tenants in the smooth handover and occupation of the buildings.

What we did for this project...
We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.
The group provides a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all five divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully-integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.
We guarantee a smooth handover transition with the project team remaining the main point of contact, the development of commissioning and training plan and regular visits from our team in the months after practical completion.
The personnel we have worked with always gives us confidence and the management is both strong but at the same time works with us as a partner. We value highly and desire an open and honest relationship with our partners and Briggs & Forrester have always provided this, building up a strong relationship with us.
