The brief
Briggs & Forrester Living were appointed to the M&E fit-out package for One Blackfriars by Main Contractor St George.
Situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, London, the 170 metre tower houses 273 apartment dwellings, a 7 storey hotel, residents spa, car park and a podium building accommodating a number of retails units.
As part of the fit-out package appointed, Briggs & Forrester Living undertook the design, supply and installation of the mechanical, electrical and public health services to fit-out areas of the build only. This included elements such as home entertainment, audio visual, data and telecoms, security, apartment lighting and small power installation, sprinkler and fire detection and apartment hot and cold water services. We started on the site in March 2016 and successfully completed our works to the tower in March 2019.

What we did for this project...
We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.
The group provides a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all five divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully-integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.
We guarantee a smooth handover transition with the project team remaining the main point of contact, the development of commissioning and training plan and regular visits from our team in the months after practical completion.
