The brief

Briggs & Forrester Living completed the mechanical, electrical and public health works for the shell and core and fit out of Plot 7 of the Perry Barr residential development in collaboration with Vinci Construction.

The development located in Birmingham consists of 6 new buildings ranging in height up to 15 storeys and housing a total of 270 one and two bedroom apartments. It forms part of the larger scheme which will provide a total of over 968 new homes including apartments and assisted living apartments.

The buildings are arranged around an enclosed communal podium garden for residents with a forecourt with retail and amenities linking to the redeveloped Perry Barr rail station.

What we did for this project...

We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.

The group provides a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all five divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully-integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.

We guarantee a smooth handover transition with the project team remaining the main point of contact, the development of commissioning and training plan and regular visits from our team in the months after practical completion.
