The brief
Taking on the role of Principal Contractor on this design and build project to provide mechanical, electrical and builders works to the fit out of a newly built warehouse and office space.
Services include additional panel & distribution boards to provide power for specialised equipment, power, lighting, data, access control, security, CCTV, fire alarm system, water, gas, compressed air, sprinkler system, ventilation, heating, air-conditioning and sanitaryware.

A transfer of ownership of the client business led to a change in operational requirements to cater for both commercial and healthcare laundry services. The change meant that the building needed to be segregated for clinical and commercial laundry services.
The impact on the building fit out and MEP services was significant and the changes were to be incorporated during the construction phase. Acting as Principal Contractor Briggs & Forrester Special Projects managed the change process and delivered the reconfigured facility to the client’s satisfaction.
What we did for this project...
We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.
