Design and build of two new Muslim secondary schools
The brief
Design, install and commission of the mechanical, electrical and public health systems at the Tauheedul Eden Boys School Birmingham & Tauheedul Eden Girls School Coventry.
Eden Girls’ School, Coventry is a 700 place 11-18 Muslim faith-based girls’ secondary school and Eden Boys’ School, Birmingham is a 700 place 11-18 Muslim faith-based secondary school.
Briggs & Forrester worked alongside Thomas Vale Construction to deliver both new 5,983m² three storey building with roof top plantrooms. Separate sports hall & facilities are also on the site.
Briggs & Forrester installed numerous systems within the school including sanitaryware, above ground drainage, domestic water services, LTHW Heating systems, mixed mode ventilation systems, gas installations, comfort cooling installations, building management systems, LV distribution systems, lighting & small power installations, fire, security and CCTV installations, lightning protection systems and voice and data installations.

What we did for this project...
We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.
The group provides a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all five divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully-integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.
We guarantee a smooth handover transition with the project team remaining the main point of contact, the development of commissioning and training plan and regular visits from our team in the months after practical completion.
