The MEPH shell & core and fit-out to 6 interconnected towers
The brief
Contracted by Multiplex, Briggs & Forrester Living undertook the MEPH shell & core and fit-out works to The Broadway over a 26-month contract period.
The 6 interconnected towers are staggered between 13 and 19 storeys in height with a striking honeycomb façade. The 2no podium levels connecting the towers include 116,000 sq. ft. of office space and 27,000 sq. ft. of retail. The high-end luxury residential areas of the project lead from termination of the podiums at level 4 across the 6 towers, totalling 268 individual apartments. Residents can also benefit from various amenities available to them such as the library, games/ screening room and the spa and wellness centre.
Plant areas include thermal store, chiller room, gas booster room, landlord LV switchroom, life safety switchroom, pool vent room, residential switchroom, tank room, Tx room, cat 5 water storage and an adiabatic cooler on the roof level.

What we did for this project...
We have a fully integrated design and build capability across the group, including 3D coordination and Building Information Modelling. By developing the design and being fully involved in the early stages of a project, we can provide timely design solutions and verification.
The group provides a range of specialist skills encompassing engineering, design, installation, and maintenance. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of all five divisions enables the group to develop and implement fully-integrated solutions for some of the most complex and demanding mechanical, electrical and public health engineering installations.
We guarantee a smooth handover transition with the project team remaining the main point of contact, the development of commissioning and training plan and regular visits from our team in the months after practical completion.
