The Chocolate Factory refurbishment works secured by Briggs & Forrester Special Projects

Briggs & Forrester Special Projects has been awarded the £4.5m mechanical and electrical works on the refurbishment of The Chocolate Factory alongside Blenheim House Construction.

The building located in Wood Green, London was once the 1904 founded Barratt’s Confectionary factory and is now owned by Workspace Group. It is being developed into a mixed use development as part of the Wood Green Cultural Quarter and regeneration area for Haringey Council.

The project will see the refurbishment of Block B consisting of alterations and refurbishment to the ground to fourth floor including a new lift and windows, interior fit out including decoration, and cycle parking. The fifth floor will receive an extension to provide managed office units for small businesses.

Briggs & Forrester’s package for the building services works is due to commence in October 2023, with completion expected in Spring 2024.
