We’re looking to expand our current IT Support team with a Group IT Infrastructure Engineer/3rd Line Support, with proven experience in; Networks, Windows Server, VMware, Exchange, Active Directory and O365. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate evidence of these experiences. Group IT Infrastructure Engineer role will include supporting 900+ users over 10 regional offices with 50+ remote sites. They will also be involved in all stages of project work. Main duties will involve working very closely with the Group IT Infrastructure Manager in managing and maintaining all IT systems. This will also include daily 3rd line escalation of helpdesk support. Occasional travel to remote sites will be required to perform installs, deployment and for general troubleshooting. To be considered for the role of Group IT Infrastructure Engineer, they must have:- • Technical support experience of servers and network infrastructure (TCP/IP understanding, Firewalls, Routers, Switches) • Excellent experience with Microsoft Technologies (Win 10, Server 2016, Office 2013 - 2016, Exchange online, O365) Additionally, excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential, software and hardware. The ability to learn new skills quickly is necessary. Working in a small but very busy department and must be good at working in a close-knit team.
Essential skills: • Networking LAN and WAN, 3G/4G, Firewalls, Switches, VLANS and Routers. • Active directory administration. • Exchange Online administration. • Network Design and installation/support experience. • Windows desktop support experience including server and client hardware. • Driver’s License. Highly desirable: • Nutanix • Wi-Fi (HP/Aruba). • VMware VSphere. • Veeam. • Veritas Enterprise Vault. • HP Network Switches • O365
Salary £28,000 - £33,000, plus fully expensed company car and excellent benefits. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a department with access to many technologies and at the beginning of an O365 migration with plans for a SDWAN solution across the group.
