Briggs & Forrester Group are looking to expand their current IT Support team with a Group IT Support Engineer, with proven experience in; Windows Server, VMware, Exchange, Networks, Active Directory and remote site visits. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate evidence of these experiences. The Group IT Support Engineer role will include supporting 1000 users over 10 regional offices with up to 50+ remote sites. They will also be involved in all stages of project work. The role is based in the Northampton head office. There will be regular occasions where they’ll need to travel to sites to perform installs, deployment and for general troubleshooting. They’ll manage the provision, install and commission/decommission of all IT, including VoIP phones for remote sites and offices across the group. To be considered for the role of Group IT Support Engineer, they must have:- • Min 5 years previous technical support experience of servers and network infrastructure (Excellent TCP/IP understanding, Firewalls, Routers, Switches) • Excellent experience with Microsoft Technologies (Win 8/10, 2008, 2012, 2016, Office 2013 - 2016, Exchange 2010 - 2016) Additionally, excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential, software and hardware. The ability to learn new skills quickly is necessary. Working in a small but very busy department and must be good at working in a close knit team.
Essential skills: • Networking LAN and WAN, 4G, Switches, VLANS and Routers. • Windows Server 2016 installation, configuration and maintenance. • Active directory administration. • Exchange 2010/2016 administration. • Solid Network Design and installation/support experience. • Windows desktop support experience including server and client hardware. • Driver’s License Highly desirable: • Wi-Fi (HP/Aruba) • VMware VSphere. • Veeam • Veritas Enterprise Vault. • Nutanix • MS Office 365
